Civil Engineering is all about the planning, construction and maintenance of man-made structures such as buildings, roads, bridges, canals and dams. Our Civil Engineering stream is highly innovative that has been developed to equip you with a broad range of knowledge and skills to meet the real-world needs of the civil engineering and construction industry. Under the B.Tech in Civil Engineering degree, students study the traditional elements of the field including design, structures, materials, fluid mechanics, geo-technics and mathematics. Students are introduced to a range of construction topics such as structural analysis and computational mechanics. The learning involves lectures, tutorials, laboratory classes, residential geology field courses and group design exercises, many of which feature contributions from practicing engineers. At Swarrnim Institute of Technology, students learn from a combination of theoretical, experimental and computational study with help to develop sketching and other engineering communication skills.
