Civil Engineering Technicians play an important role in the design and construction of buildings, bridges, highways, dams, drainage and irrigation systems, streets, parks, subdivisions, and water supply and sewer systems. The two-year diploma program, students will learn the fundamentals to prepare for a career as a civil engineering technician. The Diploma in Civil Engineering course at Swarrnm startup and Innovation university includes the study of computer drafting, municipal and building practices, material testing and field surveying. It enables our students to learn to design and manage the construction of buildings, roads and bridges through hands-on courses that cover structural design, and construction management. The program offers internship, work-integrated learning to gain practical exposure. Civil Engineering Technician students will experience a very hands-on education consisting of many labs and practical projects over four semesters. It is one of the oldest and largest branches of engineering. Civil Engineers are professionally responsible for overseeing the design and construction of industrial plant buildings, transmission towers/lines, waterworks, river navigation, airport runways, skyscrapers, power plants, irrigation canals, traffic control infrastructure, dams, shipping canals, bridges, railroads, sewers and highways.
