Walking into an interview when you are not 100% prepared is a chance you are should not be willing to take. Opportunities are limited and knocking on doors is not going to get you a job of your dream. Even after having a considerably good grip on your technical skills you might not be able to get a job if you stall the interview. Today we are going to guide you with some basic tips which can make your interview go smooth and make you a promising candidate for the specific job title

1. Do your research!


Of course, you have done research about the company before applying. But now it is time to dig in deep. Get all the information you can fetch from the company’s social media handles, websites, and LinkedIn profiles. It is good to research a few specifics about the interviewer if you are provided with their name. Having researched well you will have an idea of the person’s personality and prepare yourself accordingly for the interview.

2. Review basic interview questions online.


These are the most basic questions like:
Why are you looking for a new job?
Why are you looking to join this company?
Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?
And many more questions like these.

A list of questions like these is available all over the internet. It is not necessary to memorize the answers to all these questions. You just have to be fluent in expressing yourself in response to these questions. If you are not prepared for this step and get stumped over the very first question like this which you are asked. You might have to apply for another interview soon.

3. Making friends.

When you walk into the establishment you need to be elegant and charming to everybody. The receptionist, anybody who's walking through that office even other people, even if they're there actually for the same job. You are you're talking you're engaging. You're asking questions. You're being friendly because you never know who you're talking to and you never know if the receptionist has the ear of the person that's actually hiring you.

4. Precise answers.

Your answers to the questions need to be precise and concise. Too much information in addition to the question response is something that no interviewer likes. Your answers need to be in the boundaries of the topic, Beating around the bush is not going to make you look smart. This is the difference between being smart and overconfident. Sharing additional information on the topic which you are good at, might portray you as someone who is trying to brag about his/her knowledge,

5. Prepare your own questions.


Walk into the interview room with a set of questions that you will be willing to ask the person interviewing you. This will make an impact on the interviewer and will showcase your curiosity as an important part of your personality. Moreover, the questions you ask will also show your commitment and zeal towards being a part of the organization.
